This is the 76th season of this prestigious Society devoted to promoting the very best of musical performance from recent graduates to the celebrated stars of the international Scene.

Here, you will find variety from Solo recitals to String Quartets, and Quintets, plus a mixed ensemble of wind and strings, and two illustrated talks about Messiaen and Bartok.

The season opens on September 30 with the exceptional Rising Star, Sheku Kanneh- Mason, cello, winner of the BBC Young Musician of 2016 competition,

followed by the Russian Atrium Quartet, and then the new, innovative, young, mixed strings, clarinet and piano "Ensemble Mirage." This programme will be preceded with a talk by

Roy Stratford.

Following Christmas we begin the New Year with our early evening concert given by the enterprising Njord Wind Trio, and follow that by two wonderful concerts featuring the three-time recipient of the Young Concert Artists Trust Awards in New York,  Paris and London, - Daniel Lebhardt,  and then the Young Celebrities Concert when the Castalian Quartet is joined by Daniel Lebhardt in a programme featuring Brahms' Op 34 Piano Quintet.

Plaudits abound for our musicians, so why travel to London when you have such good musical entertainment on your doorstep? There is no need to spend your money on London prices, lengthy, journeys, or the prospect of waiting on cold platforms.

It is cheaper, quicker and more enjoyable to buy a season's ticket for the OCMS, saving £7.50 on the average ticket price; hearing wonderful music in comfort,  performed by the best  musicians, plus learning something about the music and meeting new friends.

Come and enjoy the music in Claygate!!
